Corporate Keynote Speaker

There is one Corporate Keynote Speaker who is dedicated to helping leaders and managers understand the effectiveness of paying attention to “the human side of enterprise.” That speaker is Bodine Balasco.

Don’t be thinking this subject isn’t sophisticated enough for you.  If you’re in a leadership or management position this information is critical for your team’s success. Think of it as “cultural architecture.”

In today’s economic environment the question is a direct one:  How do team leaders get great performance from their employees, when they can’t pay for it?   If you think it’s all about rewarding performance with money, it’s time to think again.

On the real Top-10 List of what employees want from work, derived from a study by the Public Agenda Foundation, money and benefits didn’t make the top 10.  (They came in 12th and 14th.)   Once a person is on the job, the paycheck is a given, and that money just flies in and out of their hands every month!

To stimulate discretionary effort, we have to think way beyond the paycheck. Peter Drucker used to say, “We get their bodies, and sometimes their minds. But what we want is their bodies, their minds, and their hearts!”  So, a great leadership question is this: What can we do to influence people to put their hearts into their work?

Bodine Balasco is a corporate keynote speaker who helps leaders and managers answer that question.  A good place to start is by asking ourselves what our employees want from work. And then arrange to give them as much of that as we can.

As leaders – and managers – we are constantly asking people to do more and more with less and less, are we not?  More so now than ever. And that can easily lead to employee burnout. If employees get laid off, who does the work they used to do?  The employees who are still there. It’s a “good news – bad news” thing for the people who are still employed. The good news is, they still have their jobs. The bad news is, they now have to do the additional work of the person who was let go.

We feel our hands are tied in giving employees more of what they want, because we can’t give them more money, and we can’t give them more benefits.  So what can we do?

We can inform ourselves with the real “Top 10 List” of what employees want from work.

Can you guess what’s #1 on that list?

When you hire Bodine for your meeting or training session, as a Corporate Keynote Speaker, he’ll help you understand the practical power of “cultural architecture.”  And he’ll help you and your executive staff increase employee involvement and engagement.  This will increase virtually all of your important business metrics.
